SATF releases final update before report

NASHVILLE (BP) – The SBC Sex Abuse Task Force issued the fifth update on its work with Guidepost Solutions in the investigation of the SBC Executive Committee’s (EC) alleged mishandling of sex abuse claims. The group said it would be its last update before Guidepost’s full report is made public in mid-May.

SBC presidential candidates discuss CRT, financial transparency in forum

KELLER, Texas (BP) – Critical Race Theory and financial transparency were among topics addressed by the three known candidates to be nominated at the 2022 SBC Annual Meeting in Anaheim. Texas Supreme Court allows alleged abuse case against Pressler to proceed

HOUSTON (BP) -- The Supreme Court of Texas cleared the way for a case against a well-known former SBC leader to move forward by denying a petition for review on April 1. A Texas appellate court ruled on Feb. 25, 2021, that a once-dismissed case against Paul Pressler could resume. Pressler appealed the decision to the state Supreme Court on May 12, 2021.
